                                     Treasurer’s Responsibilities

                                              for the

                         Ohio Association Of Agricultural Educators

The treasurer is responsible for: 

  1. All dues and magazines subscriptions reconciled monthly.
  2. In January pay:  (update these numbers)

-$100- Ohio FFA Alumni Association -Sponsor Outstanding Affiliate

-$100- Ohio Young Farmers, Inc.-Contributing Membership

-$200-Ohio Ag Council-Organizational Membership

-$500-FFA Foundation

- Send $2 per paid member to the National Ag council each year if funds are sufficient.

-Farm Bureau membership

       3.  Request speaker Fee Sponsorship through ODE.

       4.  Coordinate with the executive secretary for registration and travel arrangements and payments for Region IV, NPS, and NAAE

  5.  Deposit all sponsorships and pay all bills

 6.  Write paycheck by the 1st of the month to the Executive Secretary for the previous month’s work.

 7. Become financially bonded each year.

        8.  Prepare tax info when necessary.

       9. Have a CPA conduct a financial review yearly.

       10. Prepare a quarterly report April 1, July 1, October 1 and a year-end report on Jan.1.

       11. Serve as a Chairman a Committee.

12.  Explore investment options and opportunities.

13.  Keep a paper copy of all members, method of payments, and check numbers.  

Work with the mentoring program to build awareness to the students at OSU and Wilmington

14.  Will be elected every 3 years.
